Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-968P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-968P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where RNU6-968P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-968P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

BLCA, THCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where RNU6-968P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
