Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-9 RNA is linked to patient survival in 19 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNU6-9 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher RNU6-9 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNU6-9 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and ESCA show a favorable association.

LUSC, COAD, and ACC are the cancer types where RNU6-9 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
