Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-737P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-737P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where RNU6-737P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-737P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as CHOL show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LIHC, STAD, and CHOL are the cancer types where RNU6-737P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
