Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-624P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-624P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RNU6-624P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-624P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA are the cancer types where RNU6-624P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
