Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-530P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-530P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where RNU6-530P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-530P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as STAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD are the cancer types where RNU6-530P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
