Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-346P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 5 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-346P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RNU6-346P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-346P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as READ and PRAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, KIRP, and READ are the cancer types where RNU6-346P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
