Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-33P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-33P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where RNU6-33P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-33P is over-expressed in tumor.

CHOL, LUAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where RNU6-33P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
