Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-242P RNA is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNU6-242P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher RNU6-242P RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNU6-242P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and UCS show a favorable association.

KIRP, READ, and HNSC are the cancer types where RNU6-242P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
