Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-181P RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNU6-181P data layer compared with 2 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where higher RNU6-181P RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNU6-181P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCS show a favorable association.

THCA, HNSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where RNU6-181P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
