Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-172P RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNU6-172P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher RNU6-172P RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNU6-172P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and PAAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, LIHC, and ESCA are the cancer types where RNU6-172P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
