Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-172P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-172P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where RNU6-172P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-172P is over-expressed in tumor.
STAD are the cancer types where RNU6-172P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
