Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-1214P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 1 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-1214P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where RNU6-1214P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-1214P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LUAD show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LUAD are the cancer types where RNU6-1214P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
