Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU6-110P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU6-110P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where RNU6-110P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU6-110P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

STAD, LUAD, and THCA are the cancer types where RNU6-110P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
