RNU5F-2P

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU5F-2P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU5F-2P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RNU5F-2P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU5F-2P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and KIRP show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRC, KIRP, and KICH are the cancer types where RNU5F-2P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
