RNU5A-3P

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU5A-3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU5A-3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in liver hepatocellular carcinoma (LIHC), where RNU5A-3P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU5A-3P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as LIHC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

LIHC and THCA are the cancer types where RNU5A-3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
