Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU4ATAC15P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU4ATAC15P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where RNU4ATAC15P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU4ATAC15P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRP and KIRC are the cancer types where RNU4ATAC15P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
