Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU4-38P RNA is linked to patient survival in 13 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNU4-38P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher RNU4-38P RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNU4-38P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and LUAD show a favorable association.

BLCA, KIRP, and ESCA are the cancer types where RNU4-38P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
