Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU2-32P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU2-32P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RNU2-32P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU2-32P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as HNSC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
COAD, LUSC, and HNSC are the cancer types where RNU2-32P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
