Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU2-29P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU2-29P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where RNU2-29P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU2-29P is over-expressed in tumor.
BRCA, LUAD, and LUSC are the cancer types where RNU2-29P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
