Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU1-72P RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNU1-72P data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher RNU1-72P RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNU1-72P expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as STAD and UCS show a favorable association.

KIRP, KIRC, and STAD are the cancer types where RNU1-72P RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
