Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU1-63P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 4 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU1-63P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RNU1-63P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU1-63P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and LUSC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, KIRC, and LUSC are the cancer types where RNU1-63P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
