Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU1-20P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU1-20P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where RNU1-20P RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU1-20P is over-expressed in tumor.
LUSC, LUAD, and BRCA are the cancer types where RNU1-20P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
