Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNU1-108P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNU1-108P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where RNU1-108P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNU1-108P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRC and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
KIRC, THCA, and COAD are the cancer types where RNU1-108P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
