Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNF19B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RNF19B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where RNF19B RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RNF19B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KICH and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
HNSC, KICH, and STAD are the cancer types where RNF19B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
