Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNASE8 RNA is linked to patient survival in 12 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RNASE8 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher RNASE8 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNASE8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and GBM show a favorable association.

SKCM, ACC, and GBM are the cancer types where RNASE8 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
