Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RNASE8 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RNASE8 data layer compared with 12 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher RNASE8 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RNASE8 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, UCEC, and SKCM are the cancer types where RNASE8 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
