Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RMST RNA is linked to patient survival in 18 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RMST data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher RMST RNA is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RMST expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and KIRC show a favorable association.

BRCA, KIRC, and LGG are the cancer types where RMST RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
