Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RIMS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RIMS1 data layer compared with 13 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where higher RIMS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RIMS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as MESO and LGG show a favorable association.
BLCA, UCEC, and KIRC are the cancer types where RIMS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
