Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RIC8B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RIC8B data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher RIC8B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RIC8B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC show a favorable association.
COAD, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where RIC8B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
