Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RGS2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 21 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RGS2 data layer compared with 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher RGS2 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RGS2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCS and SKCM show a favorable association.

STAD, UCS, and KIRP are the cancer types where RGS2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
