Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RGS1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RGS1 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 3 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher RGS1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RGS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and CESC show a favorable association.

ACC, HNSC, and UVM are the cancer types where RGS1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
