Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RGS1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RGS1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher RGS1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RGS1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
HNSC, LSCC, and LUAD are the cancer types where RGS1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
