Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RETSAT mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RETSAT data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher RETSAT mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RETSAT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and COAD show a favorable association.

CCRCC, COAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where RETSAT mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
