Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RETN RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RETN data layer compared with 8 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher RETN RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RETN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LAML show a favorable association.

SCLC, LUSC, and KIRP are the cancer types where RETN RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
