Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RETN mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated RETN data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher RETN mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RETN expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and OV show a favorable association.

LUAD, PDAC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where RETN mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
