Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RCC1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 29 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RCC1 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 8 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher RCC1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RCC1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as READ and UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRP, ACC, and LIHC are the cancer types where RCC1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
