Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RBMY1A3P RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 2 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RBMY1A3P’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where RBMY1A3P RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RBMY1A3P is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.

KIRP and KIRC are the cancer types where RBMY1A3P tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
