Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RBM14-RBM4 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RBM14-RBM4’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where RBM14-RBM4 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RBM14-RBM4 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.

COAD, THCA, and HNSC are the cancer types where RBM14-RBM4 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
