Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAB36 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated RAB36 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher RAB36 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated RAB36 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRP and HNSC show a favorable association.
KIRP, LGG, and HNSC are the cancer types where RAB36 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
