Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, RAB11B RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 11 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of RAB11B’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where RAB11B RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types RAB11B is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KIRC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
THCA, LIHC, and HNSC are the cancer types where RAB11B tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
