Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PYGL Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PYGL data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in small cell lung cancer (SCLC), where higher PYGL Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PYGL expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and SKCM show a favorable association.
SCLC, UCEC, and GBM are the cancer types where PYGL Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
