Across TCGA patient cohorts, PYGL protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 20,170 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PYGL-associated genes across cancer lineages are TREM1, CXCR2, and MEDAG. Each is linked with PYGL in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PYGL-to-partner and partner-to-PYGL results are reported.
