Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PURA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PURA data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cholangiocarcinoma (CHOL), where higher PURA Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PURA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LIHC show a favorable association.
CHOL and LIHC are the cancer types where PURA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
