Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPRU RNA is linked to patient survival in 17 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PTPRU data layer compared with 10 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in ovarian serous cystadenocarcinoma (OV), where higher PTPRU RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPRU expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ACC and THYM show a favorable association.
OV, PAAD, and COAD are the cancer types where PTPRU RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
