Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPRU mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PTPRU data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 10 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher PTPRU mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPRU expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and LUAD show a favorable association.

UCEC, HNSC, and PDAC are the cancer types where PTPRU mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
