Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPRO Mutation is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PTPRO data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where higher PTPRO Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPRO expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and LUSC show a favorable association.

STAD, LUAD, and BLCA are the cancer types where PTPRO Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
