Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPN23 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PTPN23 data layer compared with 26 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher PTPN23 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPN23 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and CCRCC show a favorable association.
GBM, COAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where PTPN23 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
