Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTPN14 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PTPN14 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher PTPN14 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PTPN14 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and LAML show a favorable association.
ACC, KIRC, and BLCA are the cancer types where PTPN14 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
