Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PTP4A1P6 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PTP4A1P6’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where PTP4A1P6 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PTP4A1P6 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BRCA and THCA show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BRCA, THCA, and LUSC are the cancer types where PTP4A1P6 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
