Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PRSS38 RNA is linked to patient survival in 23 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PRSS38 data layer compared with 3 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney chromophobe (KICH), where higher PRSS38 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PRSS38 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and SKCM show a favorable association.

KICH, KIRC, and COAD are the cancer types where PRSS38 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
